Q: What does Medicaid cover?
A: Generally, Medicaid will cover medically necessary transportation services for qualifying individuals. However, like all insurance carriers, there are different policies that have different requirements so it is recommended you check with your Medicaid program to better understand coverage for transportation services. Most Medicaid programs will not cover transportation for the convenience of the patient and/or family and will only cover transportation for medical appointments
Q: How do I request a ride?
A: Call (205) 567-8154 to request a ride. You will receive a returned call within 24 hours. A ride can also be requested via the website at www.tendercaretransport.net.
Q: How much notice to I need to give when requesting a ride?
A: 3-day notice. Same-day request will also be accepted when applicable.
Q: What is a same-day ride?
A: Rides that are scheduled without a 3-day notice.
Q: How do I cancel or change a ride request?
A: Contact us immediately to cancel or reschedule.
Q: How do I pay for rides?
A: If you are a Medicaid recipient, request a voucher with your NET County Coordinator. All major credit cards will be accepted; Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover Network. We will provide a total cost before the transportation occurs upon request. Private pay clients will be able to pay with cash or credit cards.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We will provide services on Monday-Saturday 6:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Our hours of operation will vary based on the needs of our clients. As our business grows, our hours of operations will be updated.
